After the tragic loss of Rep. Doug LaMalfa, a special election was called in the pre-Prop 50 Congressional District 1. Assemblyman James Gallagher, who has represented California’s Third Assembly District since 2014 and served as Assembly Minority Leader from 2022-2025, stepped up to run in the June 2nd special election.

Robb Tucker was elected in 2024 to serve on the Nevada County Board of Supervisors. Rep. Tom McClintock is running for re-election in the Congressional District 5 which encompasses El Dorado, Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Mariposa, Stanislaus, Madera, and Fresno counties. Prior to his election to Congress, McClintock served 22 years in the California legislature.

Senator Grove was the first woman veteran elected to the California Legislature when she served the 34th Assembly District from 2010 to 2016. Assemblyman Heath Flora represents the 9th Assembly District that includes northern San Joaquin Valley and the cities of Manteca and Lodi.
