The Capital Lincoln Club is dedicated to endorsing and supporting conservative candidates who exemplify principled conservative leadership, demonstrated fiscal responsibility, and unwavering commitment to constitutional governance. Our organization seeks to advance the cause of limited government, individual liberty, and economic prosperity throughout the greater Sacramento region, California and beyond.

Assemblyman James Gallagher, Republican Candidate for Congress District 1 Special Election
After the tragic loss of Rep. Doug LaMalfa, a special election was called in the pre-Prop 50 Congressional District 1. Assemblyman James Gallagher, who has represented California’s Third Assembly District since 2014 and served as Assembly Minority Leader from 2022-2025, stepped up to run in the June 2nd special election.
Assemblyman Gallagher’s platform includes making life more affordable through lower taxes, lower fees and fewer regulations. He supports tougher laws to protect our communities, neighborhoods and homes from crime and works to expand energy production to bring prices down.

Supervisor Robb Tucker, Republican Candidate for Congress District 3
Robb Tucker was elected in 2024 to serve on the Nevada County Board of Supervisors. There, he has been a strong voice for public safety, protecting small businesses, and defending local quality of life. He served as President/CEO of a closely held family business, which owned Forest Springs Mobilehome Community, until selling the business in 2020.
In a rare show of unity, Tucker has received unanimous endorsements from every Republican Central Committee within the new district—including Placer, El Dorado, Nevada, and Sacramento counties—along with the official endorsement of the California Republican Party.

Representative Tom McClintock, Republican Candidate for Congress District 5
Rep. Tom McClintock is running for re-election in the Congressional District 5 which encompasses El Dorado, Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Mariposa, Stanislaus, Madera, and Fresno counties. Prior to his election to Congress, McClintock served 22 years in the California legislature.
Rep. McClintock has proposed major fiscal reforms to curb unauthorized appropriations, control mandatory spending, balance the budget and protect the nation’s credit. He is a senior member of the House Natural Resources Committee where he has advocated construction of new reservoirs and land management policies to promote forest health, public access and fire prevention.

Representative Kevin Kiley, Candidate for Congress District 6
After serving in the California State Assembly, Congressman Kevin Kiley was elected in 2022 and currently serves the people of California’s 3rd District. After Prop 50 split CD 3 into five new districts, he chose to represent CD 6 that includes parts of Sacramento County, Placer County and Yolo County.
Kiley promotes sound fiscal policies to reduce inflation, protect taxpayers, improve public safety, and manage our forests and public lands to prevent wildfires. He works across party lines to enact measures that will result in lower costs for gasoline, groceries, utilities and insurance, making life more affordable for local residents. Rep. Kiley led a successful bipartisan effort to restore Medicare funding for senior programs and is a strong advocate for law and order, focused on holding criminals accountable and protecting children from fentanyl.

Senator Shannon Grove, Republican Candidate for Board of Equalization District 1
Senator Grove was the first woman veteran elected to the California Legislature when she served the 34th Assembly District from 2010 to 2016. She was elected to the Senate in 2018 and now is running for the open Board of Equalization District 1 that includes much of inland California, including the Central Valley, the Sierras, and parts of the Inland Empire.
Senator Grove has spent her legislative career fighting to reduce burdensome regulations while increasing government transparency and accountability. She was successful in securing new laws to combat sex trafficking of children and has been a strong defender of small businesses, as well as agriculture and energy production.

Senator Roger Niello, Republican Candidate for Senate District 6
Senator Niello served as a Member of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors and the California State Assembly. After his time in the Assembly concluded, Niello served as President and CEO of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce. In 2022, Roger was elected to represent Sacramento and Placer Counties in the California State Senate.
To get the affordability crisis under control, Senator Niello opposes raising property taxes, gas taxes, income taxes, and sales taxes on working Californians. To reign in excessing housing costs, he supports reforming the California Environmental Quality Act, reducing building fees, and maintaining a property-rights oriented approach to housing policy. Among other priorities are rewarding good teachers, supporting innovation charter schools, and investing in campus safety and mental health services.

Assemblyman Joe Patterson, Republican Candidate for Assembly District 5
Assemblyman Joe Patterson was elected to represent the 5th Assembly District in 2022. He previously served as a City Council Member and Mayor of Rocklin. His district includes portions of Placer and El Dorado counties.
Joe Patterson’s top priorities have always been to make our community a better place to live, work and raise a family. He authored legislation to stop the release of sexually violent predators into the community, and to address the fentanyl epidemic. He routinely fights to reign in state bureaucrats that are wasting taxpayer dollars. He works to make sure criminals are held accountable and law enforcement is fully-equipped to do their jobs.
Patterson will oppose the ridiculous government mandates and laws that intrude on our individual freedoms, and he will keep our schools open and fight to establish control at the local level where it belongs.

Assemblyman Josh Hoover, Candidate for Assembly District 7
Assemblyman Joshua Hoover was elected in 2022 to the Assembly’s 7th District that includes northeast Sacramento County, including the cities of Citrus Heights, Folsom and Rancho Cordova.
Hoover is a member of the California Problem Solvers Caucus, a bipartisan group of legislators committed to finding common sense solutions to our state’s biggest challenges. His top priorities include making sure our community remains a great place to live, work, and go to school. Assemblyman Heath Flora, Republican Candidate for Assembly District 9

Placer Supervisor Shanti Landon, Candidate for Supervisor District 2
Placer County Supervisor Shanti Landon was elected in 2022 to represent Lincoln, Sheridan and West Roseville on the Board of Supervisors. She has focused on strengthening public safety, protecting local control, enhancing recreation, supporting foster youth, and boosting the local economy.

I’ve supported funding to move forward the Placer County Crime Lab, voted to pass an urgency ordinance prohibiting the establishment of drug needle distribution programs in unincorporated Placer County, approved funding for multiple acquisitions for conservation easements and brought forward a request to have an outside auditor conduct a thorough review of the County’s homeless spending, programs and outcomes in addition to many more important decisions.“
